Our rule is simple: every ingredient earns its place, or it's not in the stick. Here's what's in each formula and exactly what it does.
The Odor Engine
Zinc Chloride Hydroxide
The primary zinc active. It traps and neutralizes the odor compounds bacteria produce when they break down sweat, rather than masking them. Paired with zinc oxide, this is the "dual zinc" system.

Zinc Oxide
A gentle mineral zinc that works alongside the primary active for broader odor control, and the sole zinc in Tea Tree. Also mildly soothing to skin.

The Support Systems
This is where the formulas differ. Same zinc engine, different support, matched to different skin.
Magnesium Hydroxide
A mild mineral that gently neutralizes acidic odor compounds as they form. It's the support system in Core and Max. (Core actually carries a little more of it than Max.)

Triethyl Citrate
A plant-derived ester that works with your skin's natural acidity rather than raising its pH. It's activated by the same bacterial enzymes that cause odor, so it interrupts the process quietly and gently. This is why Sensitive suits reactive skin.

Methylheptylglycerin
A biobased ingredient that helps limit odor-causing bacteria while being gentle on skin and the surrounding microbiome.

Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil
A naturally antimicrobial botanical, and the lead active in Tea Tree. Long valued for broad use, including on feet.

Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract
A botanical that complements tea tree's freshness and helps keep skin balanced.

Sodium Bicarbonate(baking soda)
The classic natural-deodorant odor neutralizer. We use it deliberately, and only in Tea Tree, at a modest level for people whose skin does well with the traditional botanical approach. Our BioShield formulas (Core, Max, Sensitive) use no baking soda at all.

Moisture & Skin Care
Tapioca Starch
A natural starch that absorbs moisture and keeps the underarm dry and comfortable, without clogging pores.

Bamboo Silica(Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Powder)
A plant-based silica that manages wetness and adds a smooth, dry feel.

The nourishing oils(apricot kernel, grape seed, safflower, jojoba)
Skin-conditioning oils that keep the formula gentle and comfortable. Core keeps it simple with apricot kernel oil; Max builds a richer, multi-oil base, which is part of what makes it the premium formula.

Bisabolol
A calming ingredient (naturally found in chamomile) that soothes skin and reduces the chance of irritation.

Tocopherol(vitamin E)
An antioxidant that conditions skin and helps keep the oils fresh.

The Glide
The waxes and esters that make a stick apply smoothly and invisibly, chosen instead of coconut oil and plant butters specifically to avoid oil transfer to fabric.
Plant waxes(candelilla, carnauba, sunflower & rice bran wax)
Structure and a smooth, non-greasy finish, all plant-derived.

Esters & glide agents(stearyl behenate, lauryl laurate, jojoba esters, C13-16 isoalkane, heptyl undecylenate)
These give the effortless glide and dry-touch feel without the oil marks that coconut- and butter-based sticks can leave on shirts.

Titanium Dioxide
A mineral that helps the formula stay matte and invisible on skin.

What's Deliberately Not Here
No aluminum in any formula — we don't block sweat, we neutralize odor. No alcohol and no propylene glycol, two common sources of sting. And no baking soda in our BioShield formulas (Core, Max, Sensitive), the ingredient behind most natural-deodorant rash. Tea Tree uses a modest, deliberate amount for people who prefer the classic botanical approach — we'd rather tell you exactly where it is than pretend the whole line avoids it.
