Why Sweat Smells in the First Place

Here is the part most brands skip: fresh sweat is nearly odorless. The smell comes later, when skin bacteria, mainly Staphylococcus hominis and Corynebacterium, feed on the proteins and fats in sweat and release the sulfur and acid compounds we recognize as body odor.

A Different Approach: Tea Tree + Mineral

Does zinc deodorant actually work?

Yes. Zinc-based actives trap and neutralize the odor compounds that skin bacteria produce when they break down sweat. Is BioShield™ an antiperspirant?

No. Antiperspirants use aluminum to block sweat glands. BioShield™ lets you sweat normally and instead eliminates odor at the source, so your body's natural cooling still works.

Will it irritate sensitive skin?

BioShield™ contains no baking soda and no alcohol, two of the usual culprits behind natural-deodorant rash.
